On Monday I decided that I needed to purchase some Silicon Carbide Grit for my new green machine A.K.A, my new rock tumbler. With the tumbler being able to tumble up to 36 pounds of rock it uses a large quantity of grit.

After shopping locally here in the Boise, Idaho area I found that the cost of silicon Carbide grit is way over priced around $5 a pound for 60/90 and the prices go up the finer the grit ouch! I was referred to The Rock Shed for my grit.

There was also a nice little bag of candy in the box which my kids instantly consumed. Also most people think if you order Rock Tumbling Grit online that the shipping will kill you, not at the Rock Shed I figured it out and it cost me about .50 cents a pound.
