Well it’s time again for the Owyhee Gem and Mineral Societies annual Rock and Gem Show. This years show will be held at O’connor Field House in Caldwell Idaho on March 7th and 8th. On Saturday the 7th the doors open at 10 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. On Sunday the 8th the doors once again open up at 10 a.m. and this years show ends at 5 p.m.
Admission this year is $3.00 dollars for adults, kids 11 and under are free (with an adult).
Here are some of the thing that will be going on at the Owyhee Rock and Gem show for 2009:
The Owyhee Gem Show may not be as large as the Boise show is but it is every bit as good. The quality of the materials in the displays are just incredible. If you like Morrisonite, Owyhee Picture Jasper, Willow Creek Jasper than I highly suggest you stopping by and attend the 2009 Owyhee Rock and Gem Show.
I will be attending the show this year, and plan on being there when the doors open on Saturday the 8th. If you need directions please feel free to leave a comment on this post and I will be more than happy to post them.
By the way just as a reminder March 21, 2009 is the official opening day of rock hunting season. Well it’s the first trip of the year with the Owyhee Club we will be going to Graveyard Point. Well you know what that mean yup Plume Agate.
